You keep ending up in the same place with different people.

The partner changes. The friends change. The job changes. But the pattern is yours. You bring the same hunger to every table, the same guard, the same role. And you’ve started to wonder if the problem is just you.

It isn’t a flaw in your character. It’s a map. You were handed it before you could read, and you’ve been navigating by it your whole life without ever looking at it directly.

You didn't draw the map. But you can finally read it.

Four directions. Father, mother, the brothers, the sisters. Each one handed you a rule about closeness, conflict, worth, and belonging. Most of those rules are still running in the dark, without your permission.

The Story Catcher's Compass

$47

One payment. Capped at 30 seats.

OR TAKE THE WHOLE JOURNEY for only $99

This class is one of three. There's a better way to do this.

The Story Catcher’s Compass is the second of three live classes this season. Each one stands on its own. But together they walk a journey: making space, then facing the people who shaped you, then learning to act from solid ground instead of fear. If you can feel that any one of them is for you, you can probably feel that all three are.

The Story Catcher's Compass

The four people who taught you how to relate, and how to read the map they handed you. So you stop ending up in the same place with different people.

This is the class you are looking at now

Ground Before You Reach

The difference between hustle and grounded action. So you stop confusing motion with meaning.

Plus a full year inside The Rewrite, my monthly community.

The Rewrite is where the work keeps living between classes. A monthly Story Catching circle call, a monthly hot seat, a private community of honest people doing the same brave work, and a full resource library. It’s the room that keeps the breakthrough from fading.

Three classes at $47 each is $141. A year in The Rewrite at the regular rate is $300. That’s $441 of work for $99, because I want you to actually be in this.

This is the founder rate, and it’s limited. Once these founder seats are gone, the Rewrite goes to its regular $300 a year. But as long as you stay a founder, you stay at $99 a year, every year. No surprise jumps.

One payment. A full year of community. Two more classes still ahead of you.

What we'll actually do in two hours

No lecture. No slides full of theory. A teaching, a few simple practices, time for honest questions, and a daily practice you’ll leave with.

Name the four directions.

We'll map the four people who shaped how you relate: father, mother, the brothers, the sisters. Not to blame them. To finally see them clearly.

Find the rule each one handed you.

Every direction taught you something about closeness, conflict, worth, or belonging. Some of it served you. Some of it is still quietly running the show.

See the role you were cast in.

Peacemaker. Provider. The strong one. The invisible one. You learned your part early, before anyone asked if you wanted it. We'll name it out loud.

Walk the Compass.

A simple Andean four-directions practice for locating where you actually are in a relationship, before you react out of the old map.

Leave with one rewrite.

One inherited rule you choose to put down. And one you choose to keep, on purpose, because it's actually yours.

I'm not running this as an expert.

I'm running it as someone currently emptying.

I’m Chad Petersen. I run The Story Catcher. I’m fifty-two. I live in Baños, Ecuador.

I’ve been teaching this work for some time now, and I’m also living it right now. A few months ago, I tore my knee in the mountains on a bicycle tour of incredible waterfalls. Everything I used to fill my life with stopped working. Hustle stopped working. Distraction stopped working. The momentum I’d built my identity on was gone.

So I sat in the space. And the space taught me something thirty years of grinding never did.

If you’re in that space too, come sit in the room.

Honest questions, honest answers

The things people ask first.

Yes. If you sign up but can’t make it live, you’ll get the recording within 48 hours. The live experience is better, but the recording is real.

No. I’m not a therapist and this isn’t a therapeutic session. It’s a teaching and a practice. If you’re in active crisis, please work with a licensed professional. This class is for people doing the slow, quiet work of clearing space in a life that’s mostly working but mostly not theirs.

Not a thing. I’ll teach what you need as we go. The principles are simple. The practices are simple. The work is hard, but the framework is not.

Most people in the room won’t have. Come anyway. The only requirement is that you’re willing to be honest with yourself for two hours.

Because I want it to be possible. This isn’t a high-ticket coaching offer. It’s one honest conversation in a small room. If $47 is a stretch, message me directly. We’ll figure it out.

You’ll leave with a practice. That’s the point. No upsell, no pitch at the end. If after the class you want to keep working with me, I’ll show you how. But the class stands on its own.

The room opens Tuesday June 23rd

Two hours. One Zoom link. A small group of people who are tired of running the same map

If you’ve been waiting to understand why you keep repeating yourself, this is where it starts.
